Zoo trip 2011 .... student report

The Zoo Trip

On the 8th of September 2011 the whole of first year went on their first school trip. It was a science trip to the zoo to study the variety of living things. We were split up into 24 groups of 8 people. This was great as we got to meet new people and got to know them through out the day.

We left the school at 9:30 a.m. in our uniforms and rugby jerseys, it was a lovely day. We headed straight to the Phoenix Park and the Zoo, there was great excitement on the bus even though we got stuck in traffic trying to cross the river Liffey. We arrived at the Zoo at about 10:30 a.m., we were split into our groups and given our worksheets for the days activity. The worksheet was designed so that we had to walk around the whole Zoo in order to locate the information required on the sheet.

It was great fun seeing all the animals, meeting new friends and sharing the excitement and enjoyment of the zoo. But nothing can last forever and at 2p.m. we boarded the buses and went back to school.
